The museum preserves one of the largest portions of the treasure of the Church of Aquileia, divided between the two archdioceses of Gorizia and Udine, born from the dissolution of the Patriarchate in 1751. Among the precious liturgical furnishings and sacred art objects, some antiphonaries, and graduals of Paduan production stand out, purchased by the chamberlains of Gemona between 1343 and 1366, embellished with splendid miniatures.
