The Consorzio Vini Colli Bolognesi, born in 1971 from the merger of the two historical consortia of protection Monte San Pietro and Vini Castelli Medioevali, combines winegrowers, winemakers and bottlers of the territory to protect and enhance the DOCG Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto and the DOC Colli Bolognesi.
Representing more than 96% of producers, it remains one of the main contacts of national and Community institutions for the wine sector of the Emilia-Romagna region.
The Consortium is the ideal interlocutor for anyone who wants to deepen the knowledge of the territory of the Colli Bolognesi and its fine wines.
Thanks to the close relationship with the individual productive realities, from the family-run ones to the large groups of the sector, it carries out an important activity of conservation and enhancement of the history and popular culture of the territory, summarized in the logo through the stylized image of an ancient Etruscan cup, symbol of conviviality and bond with the territory.
The operating environment of the Consortium is exercised in many sectors, among which one of the most important is the control over the entire chain, from the production of grapes to the bottling of the product, through the traceability system managed by the Certification Body Valoritalia Srl.
Moreover, in agreement with the Ministerial authorities, the Consortium implements a precise control on the packaged product already present in the sales channels.
