The Trattoria del Borgo di Monteveglio is a small family-run trattoria located inside the medieval village closed to traffic and is characterized by a warm and informal atmosphere. It offers dishes related to the Bolognese and Modena tradition (since we are in Monteveglio land border between the two provinces of Emilia).

Built in an old house, which was part of the first walls of the Abbey, it consists of three small rooms distributed on different levels. The number of seats is reduced therefore it is recommended to book especially during the weekend. In summer you can dine in the rustic courtyard overlooking the valley and look at the beautiful church of Santa Maria Assunta (IX Century AD).

The menu is closely linked to tradition and seasonality: Tortellini , Tagliatelle and Tortelloni together with Mushrooms and Truffles are the basis of the dishes you can enjoy. The selection of cured meats, rigorously handmade underlines the link with the regional gastronomic tradition: Culatello, Mortadella, Ciccioli, Coppa and Salame Gentile, are just some of the products you can taste, maybe accompanied by Tigelle and Crescentine (typical bread of the Modena and Bologna Apennines). It is also a well-established tradition, to organize "theme nights", characterized by menus that explore from time to time enogastonomiche realities even extra regional.

The cellar is deliberately limited to local and regional wines.
