The municipality of Trpanj in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County covers an area of 37 square kilometers, and includes the following settlements: Gornja Vrućica, Donja Vrućica, Duba Pelješka and Trpanj. It would be best to go through the entire municipality on the paths of pedestrian, mountain and bicycle paths, and it is definitely wise to take enough time to truly experience everything you come across along the way.

Donja and Gornja Vrućica are located in the valleys and on the slopes of the hills in the interior of Pelješac. Dalmatian karst, vineyards, olive groves and medicinal Mediterranean plants are indispensable motifs of this landscape, along with obligatory reminders of the rich past in the form of small churches and chapels that are mentioned among old church documents. In Donja Vrućica, the old road that separates from the paved road towards Duba begins, and is also called the Path of Medicinal Plants. Along the way, one encounters wild sage, rosemary, heather and immortelle, precious offshoots of the Mediterranean climate.

Trpanj is proud of its promenade, which starts at Trpanjska riva, and continues along the coast, bays and bathing areas. The path is asphalted, so it is suitable for both walkers and runners, as they pass by the sea, stone, Mediterranean plants and a pine forest that leaves no one indifferent. The trail is 1,300 meters long, and ends above the bay of Blace, known for its healing mud.

Trpanj's olive oil routes are somewhat longer. It is a 6-kilometer hiking and biking trail that starts at the Vrila camp and ends at Velika Prapratna. Passing along the path, you come across restored centuries-old dry stone walls and olive groves. The fact that there are more and more new olive groves in recent years is especially encouraging. Billboards detailing the routes and stone rest benches are located at all road crossings and extensions. It is desirable to use them not only for a break and rest, but also as viewpoints for the perfect combination of sea, olive and stone, and those who are incorrigible adventurers should definitely not miss the mountain trails Viter, Lozica, Paškalov put and Miloševica.

Fun fact: Jezero beach in Duba is actually a pebble bank that is washed by sea waves on one side and from the hill of St. Ilija is divided by a natural freshwater lake, the water of which flows into the sea via a stream over the beach.
