The newly designed public space is located between two residential neighbourhoods by the Ljubljanica, Štepanjsko naselje and Nova Fužine. The purpose of the project was to raise the quality of life for their residents, especially young families. In addition to the children’s playground, there is a public orchard for everyone. In addition, 14 park trees have been planted. There is a specially designed space for dog owners to socialise, a dog playground. A garden area is also planned. Along the river there is an embankment, a new public space with a footpath, benches and deck chairs for relaxation. There are also plans to build an adventure bridge or footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists, which will connect both neighbourhoods.
