It is still discernible from the exterior structure. The church is the result of the transformation of a previous secular building that was used as a theatre. Erected in 1759 at the orders of Patriarch Daniele Delfino, it was intended as an oratory for the education of children and it is enriched with valuable frescoes and paintings by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. The upper floor houses the rehearsal room for the children's choir.
