Built in the nineteenth century, the theatre is dedicated to drama actress Adelaide Ristori, whose statue stands in the nearby Piazza Foro Giulio Cesare. This theatre, together with many other sites in the city, is one of the venues of the international Mittelfest festival, an outstanding venue in the panorama of performing arts events.
