The last theatre built among Trieste's theatres in 1989 through the concession of the areas of the original headquarters of the port company of Trieste, the Miela Theatre is a multimedia venue where many different artistic forms intertwine. Dedicated to the artist Miela Reina from Trieste, the theatre is managed by Cooperativa Bonawentura, established as a private initiative by a group of partners, who pledged one million Italian lire (hence the reference to Sergio Tofano's famous comic strip Il Signor Bonaventura).
