Trieste - The Music Conservatory and the Tartini Auditorium

The Conservatory of Trieste, established in 1903 and now housed in the prestigious Rittmeyer Palace, is named after Giuseppe Tartini. Its auditorium equipped with state-of-the-art technological equipment, which also hosts major musical events, is dedicated to him. The Conservatory's library preserves an extensive historical collection that bears witness to the rich artistic life of Trieste: ancient essays on musical theory, handwritten and printed scores of theatrical works, and music editions from Germany, Russia, and Central European countries.

It is home to the "Bruno and Michèle Polli Centre for Tartinian Documentation and Studies," a facility designed to promote knowledge and appreciation of the work of the composer and violinist from Piran. A new museum tour offers a visit to the Conservatory's exclusive Tartinian memorabilia.
