The Guardastelle Farm is born from a dream that has been transformed, not without obstacles in a project.

In 2004 it was a ruin abandoned for sixty years without road to get there, without electricity, without water. Swallowed by a wild nature was the kingdom of insects and weeds.

In two years it has become home where my sons Teo and Diego were born, who are the energy that gives me the strength to fight.

Then it became for six years also a B & B hosting and welcoming people from all over the world, until our family has changed and returned to be home. For two years our house has also been "Agriturismo 10 places" a form of miniature farm that the law allows you to have if you have a farm base.

We have deprived of the living room, put 5 tables and 10 chairs and we welcomed guests into the house proposing a kitchen set menu made with the excellent materials of our territory. The bureaucracy, however, repeatedly cut our legs and in the end Il Guardastelle then undertook another struggle, managing to renovate without any subsidy the old barn and obtaining all the permits for the agritourism activity.

The farm has grown, we grew thanks to your support and approval, we increased the covers, but we remained faithful to the original principles, those for which a farm must propose as per tradition; a menu made with their own products and those of local companies.

This is and will always be our proposal.

It’s been almost seven years since the first tests of dinners made with friends as customers to see if we were up to serving meals, grandma Desolina taught me how to make tortellini, tortelloni, meat sauce, the rice cake and came repeatedly to help in the company of aunt Fiorella.

I did multiple Cooking Classes with many Chefs, learning and absorbing recipes and cooking techniques. Cooking is passion, if you do not have it you can not do this job that deprives you of the weekends when normally everyone else goes out or rest.

The Guardastelle I always said is magical, a place that makes you feel good and that you can not keep for yourself without sharing it; so it is also yours when you come to eat, when you rest on deck chairs, when you take walks in the woods, when you play with your children, when you enjoy a sunset and return, I hope, to your home with a little extra energy to face everyday life.
