National Museum of Independence

The National Museum of Independence in the city of Vlora with all its exhibits constitutes a complex with authentic values for local and foreign visitors. There are seven pavilions and two halls in which many objects and documents of special historical value are stored and exhibited. The Museum of Independence is a late 19th century building. In its beginnings, the building was a military quarantine, while in 1913 it served as the seat of the government of Vlora. In 1936, the first Albanian archaeological museum was opened in the premises of this building, while today it functions as a museum of the National Independence. There are exhibited dozens of objects, documents and works of art dedicated to the Independence of Albania. The museum is visited by thousands of local and foreign visitors. It was restored in 2012 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Independence.

The monument is built with retaining wall construction.

Covered with a wooden and tiled roof. The floors are wooden and the suspended ceilings are wooden.
