Trstenica Beach

Orebić is a village on the western part of the Pelješac peninsula, which offers its guests a very diverse offer of cultural, historical, sports, and above all gastronomic and oenological contents. Orebić has an old core with captains' houses, and a Franciscan monastery above Čempresada with the most beautiful viewpoint on the Pelješac Canal. Orebić is located below Zmijina brdo with the highest peak of the peninsula, and across from it is the old town of Korčula on the island of the same name. The views of Orebić and its surroundings are extremely picturesque and offer content for dozens of quality posts on social networks.

However, Orebić is on the sea, and the sea cannot be a sea without a beach. Nor can Orebić, so immediately on its eastern part towards the center of the village it offers its most famous and largest beach, Trstenica. Trstenica beach is named after the former name of today's Orebić. Trstenica is a long and narrow beach. It is four hundred meters long and 15 to 20 meters wide. The beach is pebbly, composed of small pebbles mixed with sand. The inner part of the beach, the one under the sea, is sandy. Natural shade exists in the morning hours on the western part of Trstenica under the canopy of Mediterranean trees, while the rest of the shade can be found under umbrellas. It is ideal for a family holiday because it has a water park, showers and changing cabins. The sea in front of the beach is shallow and above all extremely clean, which favors children's play and less skilled swimmers, while experienced and good swimmers can swim a little further over the greater depths of the crystal blue sea. If you want something else in addition to swimming and relaxing with a view of the town of Korčula across the Pelješac canal, the beach offers fun and adrenalin-enhancing activities such as jet skis, pedal boats and other aids for a rush of excitement.

In the immediate vicinity of the beach there are several campsites under pine trees, which offer a quiet and safe vacation right next to the beach. The catering offer next to the beach itself consists of cafes, restaurants and other facilities that are pleasant for the body and soul, where children enjoy scoops of ice cream, while adults have the opportunity to taste the famous and high-quality Plavac mali from Pelješac.

Fun fact: Trstenica Beach is an urban beach for the whole family with a view of the Korčula-Pelješac archipelago made up of 19 small islands and the beautiful Korčula.
