Hradecki Bridge

This cast-iron bridge was made in the Aursperg foundry in Dvor pri Žužembergu and represents one of the key technological achievements of the 19th century. It is named after Mayor Janez Nepomuk Hradetzki. It initially stood on the site of today’s Shoemaker’s Bridge before being relocated in 1931 by the architect Plečnik relocated to near the former mortuary, at which point it was given the unfortunate name of the Mortuary Bridge. In 2010, it was completely renovated and moved to a new location, near the confluence with Gradaščica.
