Once degraded space between two riverbeds, today this area is a lively park connected by a new footbridge, which leads to the botanical garden on the other side of the Ljubljanica. Špica Park, with its paved platform and pergola, descends all the way to the banks via a wooden terrace and a green area. Along the Gruber Canal, a port has also been created, providing new berths for boats and perhaps a new form of passenger traffic in the future for the inhabitants. Špica is friendly to pedestrians and cyclists, and there is also a pavilion with a café. Plans are also being made for an information point.
