Bay of Agios Panteleimon

Agios Panteleimonas is the nearest eastern bay in the bay of Astakos, which can offer safety to the small ships that are anchored inside. During the 19th century AD. at this point some buildings had been built that functioned as warehouses, as a result of the intense commercial activity in the area. On the west side of the bay, on a hill, is a small fortress with six towers, which was probably built at the end of the classical period, in order to deal with pirate raids.

This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
