Stratos is a town in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. It is built next to the Acheloos river and the artificial lake Stratou, while it is about 12 km from the city of Agrinio. Its old name was Surovigli and in antiquity it was the most important city in the whole of Acarnia. Today, it belongs administratively to the Municipality of Agrinio and based on the 2011 census consists of 979 permanent residents. This point of interest is Plain and Rural.
