Lake of Kremasta

Lake Kremasta is located between the Prefectures of Aitoloakarnania and Evritania. It was created in 1965 after the construction of the Kremasta hydroelectric dam and is the largest artificial lake in Greece, as it has a total capacity of 4.75 km3 of water. It is supplied by the waters of the rivers Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropou and Trikerioti, while according to the program Natura 2000 it is a protected area of ​​special natural beauty. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
