River of Nissa

The river of Nissa, located northwest of Katouna, originates from the Akarnanian mountains and flows into the Amvrakikos gulf. A well-designed path allows for a beautiful hike along the river. During the route the walker can enjoy the view of the waterfalls and the ruined watermills, but also to see the picturesque single-arched bridge located in the place Kampos and is built around 1830. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
