Landmark

Kefalos Island of Amvrakikos Vonitsa

Kefalos is an uninhabited islet, which is located in the Amvrakikos gulf, north and opposite the town of Vonitsa. It has a shape that resembles the Greek letter D and combines dense vegetation with beautiful, deserted beaches. Ruins of houses have been found, as well as other submerged ruins northwest of the island, which prove its habitation during Roman times. This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. https://www.facebook.com/%CE%92%CF%8C%CE%BD%CE%B9%CF%84%CF%83%CE%B1-%CE%91%CE%B9%CF%84%CF%89%CE%BB%CE%BF%CE%B1%CE%BA%CE%B1%CF%81%CE%BD%CE%B1%CE%BD%CE%B9%CE%B1%CF%82-101331101608364/ Source of photographic material: Personal Archive of Mrs. Vicky Pantazi.
