Patras

Patras is the largest city and the most important economic, cultural and commercial center of the Peloponnese and the whole of Western Greece in general. The history of the city dates back at least four millennia and has been inhabited since prehistoric times. During the Roman period it was a cosmopolitan center of the Mediterranean and was one of the first areas from where the Revolution of 1821 began, during which it played a decisive role.
