New Archaeological Museum of Patras

The Archaeological Museum of Patras is located at the northern entrance of the city and is housed in a building, which was built in 2008, the work of the architect Theofanis Bobotis. Its area is about 6000 sq.m. and has three large rooms for permanent exhibition and one room for periodic exhibitions. The findings on display date from the 4th millennium BC. until the 4th century AD and come not only from the city of Patras but also from areas of southwestern Achaia. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket. Visitable hours: Winter: MON, WED - SUN: 08:30 - 15:30, Summer: MON- SUN: 08:30 - 16:00.
