Railway Station of Agios Dionysios (old)

Agios Dionysios Railway Station was the main railway station for Patras when the train arrived in 1887. The Pyrgos terminal was in Agios Andreas and there was a problem as the two stations were not connected and Agios Dionysios station was far from the waterfront of the port. The passengers, as well as the goods were transported by horse-drawn carriages to the steamers and, as a result, the request arose for the connection of the two stations and the creation of a central station near the pier. This point of interest is Coastal and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Source of photographic material: Wikipedia.
