Myceanean cemetery of Voundeni

The Mycenaean cemetery and the Mycenaean settlement at Bortzi are the Mycenaean park of Patras near the settlement of Voudeni (another name: Skioessa). The area of ​​the archeological site is 180 acres and is located 7 km northeast of the city of Patras, at a height of 220 meters. It consists of the ruins of a prehistoric settlement, possibly of ancient Messatida, and of 78 carved tombs. According to the excavations, the area was inhabited for about five hundred years (1500-1000 BC) and many of the findings are on display at the Archaeological Museum of Patras. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket.
