Antirrio is a seaside village in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. It is located 11 km southwest of Nafpaktos and 35 km southeast of Mesolonghi, while it is a transport hub of Western Sterea with the Peloponnese. In ancient times it was called Molykrion Rion, from the ancient city of Molykria or Molykria which was located nearby. In 2011, the population was 1,108 permanent residents.
