Ancient Molykreio

Southwest of the settlement Velvina of Nafpaktia and specifically at the top of a hill, ruins have been found that are identified with the ancient Molykreio. According to Thucydides, this ancient city pre-existed in 348 BC, while according to tradition it was a Corinthian colony. The excavations carried out at the site, revealed important findings of the ancient citadel, as well as ruins of a temple probably dedicated to Poseidon. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
