Antirrio Castle

Antirrio Castle dominates the homonymous village of the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. It was built at the end of the 15th century by the Ottomans and was known as the Castle of Roumeli. On the south side of the walls there is a stone lighthouse 9 meters high, which was built in 1880. Today, the external defensive fortification is preserved, while during the summer months, cultural events are organized in the spacious inner courtyard. This point of interest is Coastal and Urban.
