Castle of Nafpaktos

The Castle of Nafpaktos dominates the homonymous city, at the top of a hill at an altitude of about 200 meters. It was built in the 15th century by the Venetians in order to preserve the great strategic position of Nafpaktos, during the Venetian period. It has an impressive view of the sea that stretches in front of it and is an important tourist attraction for the area. Today, it is considered one of the most well-preserved examples of fortress architecture in Greece. This point of interest is Coastal and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket.
