Ancient Feia

Ancient Feia or Fea is located in the present bay of Agios Andreas Katakolos and is known as the most important port of Ilia in antiquity. It was a port of Olympia and the whole of Pisatida and was probably sunk by a strong earthquake in the 6th century AD. In 1973 the Marine Archaeological Research Institute surveyed the sea area of ​​the bay and erected many architectural members and columns. The location of the ancient city has been located at a depth of 5 meters at the bottom of the sea, while the ancient citadel is located at the highest point of Cape Ichthyos. This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visitable hours: Free access.
