The flames monument is a unique piece of art, idea, and dedication. It was erected in 1946, in honour of all the victims and fighters who battled for the liberation of Sarajevo during the Nazi occupation of Yugoslavia. It serves as a reminder of glory days of Yugoslavia, as well as a symbol of what used to be Slavic brotherhood and unity.
