Lake of Kremasta

Lake Kremasta is located between the Prefectures of Aitoloakarnania and Evritania. It is the largest artificial lake in Greece with a large area of 80 square kilometers. It was created in 1965 from the accumulation of water volumes of the rivers Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropou and Trikerioti, after the construction of the dam of Kremasta. It is a beautiful lake, of special natural beauty, which is surrounded by low hills and has 3 bridges, while it is part of the Natura 2000 program. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Source of photographic material: Wikipedia.
