Agia Sofia of Mytikas

The archeological site of Agia Sofia is located about 2 km east of the village of Mytika. These are the ruins of a large three-aisled wooden-roofed basilica with a narthex and a semicircular arch. Today some parts of frescoes, sculptures, inscriptions and a number of fragments are preserved. To the north of the main temple, three consecutive rooms have been excavated, while to the west, the ruins of four tombs have been found. This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
