Taxiarches is a mountainous settlement of Ileia that belongs to the Municipality of Zaxaro. It is built at the foot of Mount Minthi and is located near the village of Lepreo. Formerly it was called Mofkitsa and according to the 2011 census it consists of 26 inhabitants. It is a beautiful village with stone houses and alleys, which is an ideal destination for relaxation and tranquility in nature. As a community it is divided into two settlements, Ano Taxiarches and Kato Taxiarches. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
