Village

Tripiti

Tripiti is a semi-mountainous settlement of the Peloponnese, located in the Peripheral Unit of Ileia at an altitude of about 278 meters. It is 21 km from Krestena, while a short distance northwest is the Monastery of Panagia Isova. The village is built amphitheatrically on a hill, overlooking the valley of Alfeios, at the point where the Erymanthos river contributes. It is surrounded by large areas of greenery and has many fountains, from which crystal-clear water flows from mountain springs. Traces of an acropolis from the Classical and Hellenistic years have been discovered on its northeastern side, while in the east remnants of a settlement from the Bronze Age have been found. In 2011 the population of the settlement was about 206 inhabitants. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. https://www.facebook.com/groups/179192575463751/ Source of photographic material: Personal archive of Mr. Zervas George.
