Fanari

Fanari is a beautiful historical village of the Peloponnese, which belongs to the Kallikratikos Municipality of Andritsaina-Krestenwn. It is built on the northern slopes of Mount Minthi at an altitude of 640 meters and is 36 kilometers east of Krestena. Its name is due to the traffic lights, which were used in the past to communicate with the Castle of Crepacore, located at the top of Zakouka. It was also known as Arditsa, due to the existence of the water element in the village, such as the Fanaritiko river that flows through its interior, the stone-built fountains, the several watermills and the aqueduct. In 2011, the settlement had about 127 inhabitants, whose main occupation was agriculture and animal husbandry. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural.
