Ploutochori

Ploutochori is a small village of Ileia that is 15 km from Krestena, while the river Alfeios passes northeast. It is an uninhabited village, as after earthquakes and landslides of the past, the inhabitants were forced to leave it. In 1975 they built a new village 2 km away, called Neo Chorio. Before the period of the Revolution of 1821, Ploutochori was called Togia and together with other villages belonged to the province of Fanari. Now, together with the New Village, they belong to the local community of Ploutochori of the Municipality of Andritsaina-Krestenwn. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
