Necropolis of Alifera

The necropolis of ancient Alifera was located southeast of the citadel. It consisted of monumental family tombs, but also tombs that served as polyandry for the dead of the war. The tombs were divided into two categories, those with a tomb and those with a pediment. The most well-preserved tomb with a gabled crown is the tomb of Sethea, located between today's Alifera and Andritsaina. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visiting hours: Outdoor areas. Constantly open. Source of photographic material: Personal archive of Mr. Adamopoulos Chris, Website: Fanari Andritsainas-Ileias - (http://fanariandritsaina.blogspot.com/2015/03/blog-post.html).
