Andritsaina Public Historical Library or Nikolopouleio

The Public Historical Library of Andritsaina is located at the western entrance of the homonymous town. It was created in 1840 and is a consequence of the donation of Konstantinos-Agathofronas Nikolopoulos, to whom it owes its name. Since 1998 it is housed in a neoclassical building and is considered one of the most important and richest libraries in the country. Its impressive collection includes rare manuscripts of the 16th and 17th centuries, books of incalculable objective, historical and spiritual value, important documents from the period of the Greek revolution, as well as rich folklore material.
