Kryonero

Kryonero is a semi-mountainous village of the Regional Unit of Ileia at an altitude of 154 meters. It is located southwest of the artificial lake of the river Pineios and at a distance of 11 km from Amaliada and 35 from Pyrgos. Its old name was Lopesi and it is a Slavic word that means cow field. The village celebrates on January 7 Agios Ioannis Prodromos and on August 23 the nine days of Panagia. In 2011 it had a population of 400 inhabitants, who cultivated olives, cereals and raisins, while raising cows and goats and sheep. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
