Agios Dimitrios is a lowland village of Ileia at an altitude of 43 meters. It is located west of the artificial lake of the river Pineios and is 17 km northeast of the town of Amaliada. It borders southwest with Ancient Ilida and east with the dam of Pineios. Its old name was Marinaki and is due to the name of the owner of the inn, which existed east of the village. In 1909 a strong earthquake completely destroyed the settlement Marinaki, except for the church of Panagia, with the result that it was abandoned and a new one was built under the name Agios Dimitrios. According to the 2011 census, it consists of 261 inhabitants, whose main occupation is the cultivation of vegetables and the breeding of sheep and goats. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
