Amaliada

The city of Amaliada is the seat of the Municipality of Ilida and is the second largest city of Ileia. The population, according to the 2011 census, amounts to 20,000 inhabitants, who are engaged in the cultivation of land, such as raisins, olives, potatoes, watermelon, citrus fruits, vegetables, while they also practice urban professions. The Holy Monastery of Panagia Frangavilla is the main church of the city and dates from the 11th century.
