Landmark

Papachristopoulios Library

Papachristopoulios Library is located in the city of Amaliada. It is a legacy of Christos Papachristopoulos from America and that is why it bears his name. It was built on the site where the Electric Company was housed in the Municipal Park and was inaugurated in 1967, after being enriched with a number of books from donations from locals and foreigners. Today it has over 16,000 book titles, a reading room, a computer department, and it also functions as a lending library. Equally important is the cultural activity of the Foundation for the benefit of the students and the public of Amaliada, while providing the opportunity for information, through a renewed website. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visiting hours: MON:17:00-19:00, WED:17:30-19:30, THUR:11:00-13:00. https://www.facebook.com/groups/papahristopouleios/ Source of photographic material: Friends of Papachristopoulios Library Amaliada-Moschovou Anna.
