Archeological Site of Dafni

The archeological site that is located near the village of Dafni in Ileia and specifically in the location Lakkathela, includes an ancient Mycenaean cemetery. After excavations, twelve chambered Mycenaean tombs were found, with rich and important findings in pottery, armor and jewelry made of semi-precious stones and glass. Their entrance is blocked with dry stones and the small diameter chamber is almost circular or elliptical, while inside there are multiple burials. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket. Visiting hours: By appointment.
