Pineios River Bed

Pineios is a river of the Peloponnese with a total length of 80.9 km. It originates from Mount Erymanthos and flows west, finally flowing into the Ionian Sea from Paleochori. At its greatest length it flows through a low plain with a low flow rate, which does not allow erosion and deepening of its bed. However, in some places there are sinkholes and precipices, in which a certain amount of water is lost. In the riverbed, and in the gorge there are two small lakes with great depth, also known as Black Lake and Drakolimni. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Source of photographic material: Wikipedia.
