Kato Achaia

Kato Achaia (also known as Achaia) is a town located in a plain west of the Prefecture of Achaia. Ruins of an ancient settlement have been discovered in the area, which is considered to have been the ancient city of Dymi. In 1807, during the Turkish occupation, Kolokotronis set fire to the tower of the owner of the area, Sait Aga Osmanou. Also, many times, the nearby beach was used for landing troops, while after the Revolution, populations from Arcadia, Kalavrita, the Ionian Islands and Corinth settled in the area. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
