Wall of Dymaion

The Wall of Dymaion (or Kalogria Castle) is a prehistoric Mycenaean acropolis, built in the late Neolithic period. The walls of the castle were a cyclopean 200 meters long, 10 meters high and 5 meters thick, and, according to mythology, was built by Hercules. It was used by the Germans and the Italians for military purposes during World War II. This point of interest is Flat and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Winter Hours: WE- MON: 8.30 a.m.- 15.30, Summer Hours: WE- MON: 8.30 a.m.- 16.00. Tuesday closed.
