PROMOTION OF HISTORICAL HIKING PATH OF P. P. GERMANOS

The present proposal concerns the promotion of the Historical mountain route "Path of Germanos of Old Patras" which starts from the entrance of the facilities of ACHAIA CLAUS continues in the mountainous volume of Mount Panachaiko, on Mount Barbas (Little Panachaiko) and ends in the Historic city of Kalavryta. The path passes through landscapes of rare natural beauty, areas that are inextricably linked to the History of the Greek Revolution of 1821 as well as religious monuments that even today are spiritual Orthodox Centers.

The highlight of the above route will occur with the implementation of actions that ensure the dissemination of historical knowledge about the area, the organization of a standard mass hiking crossing during the anniversary year 2021 and the installation of light signaling-information infrastructure. All the previous ones will result in the increase of the traffic of the route and the developmental strengthening of the area.
