The Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi is located in the settlement of Mandra, near Thermo, and dates back to the 12th century. It is an emblematic stone monastery with the underground crypt that was discovered in 1993 being its most important characteristic. The two great teachers of the Nation, Agios Eugenios Giannoulis and Agios Cosmas of Aetolia, passed through the monastery, and during the Turkish occupation it played an important role. There are kept the holy relics and the miraculous image of the Saint, while there is number of visitors every year. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. It is accessible all year round.
