Workshop of Pheidias

The workshop of Pheidias is located opposite the temple of Zeus, west of Altea. It was built in the 5th century BC, when Pheidias went from the Acropolis of Athens to Olympia. There the great sculptor made the huge ivory statue of the god, which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket.
