Nymphaeum

The Aqueduct of Herod of Attica, also known as Nymphaeum, is located between the temple of Hera and the treasure trove and is one of the most beautiful and richest buildings inside the sacred Alteos. It was rebuilt in 160 AD. and was a monumental fountain, but also a water tank, which entered from springs to the east of the sanctuary and was channeled to various parts of the site.
