Philippi

Philippi is the only circular building of Altea and is located west of the temple of Hera. It is one of the most beautiful buildings of ancient Greek architecture and was dedicated to the sanctuary of Zeus by Philip II, after his victory in the battle of Chaeronia in 338 BC. Its construction was completed by his son Alexander the Great, due to the death of Philip in 336 BC. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket.
